50 Women Your Should Be Following On Twitter

by Melissa Stewart

In a perfect world, this post would have gone out in May. In my mind, the post included short bios with additional links and photos. Alas, it was not to be. But, the list still rocks and I FINALLY get to send this tweet:

Women To Follow Twitter

Since 2011, we’ve compiled a list of “Women To Follow On Twitter” – our lists come from a combination of suggestions from our readers and 365 days of Twitter interaction.

You can find all the ladies from our first two lists here -> https://twitter.com/MelissaOnline/she-owns-it-women2follow  and the list will be updated with this year’s ladies soon!

See our 2011 list here -> http://sheownsit.com/women-should-be-following-on-twitter-2/

See our 2012 list here -> http://sheownsit.com/women/

I admire and am inspired by so many on Twitter every day. In the end, we chose 50 women who tweet valuable information and inspiration on a regular basis. Ladies who will respond to your questions, share a smile, raise their coffee mugs in *cheers* and are most definitely retweetable!

And with that, here they are 50 Women You Should be Following on Twitter!

The Secret to Exceptional Content Marketing by @JenKaneCo

Secret

An editor once told me, “Jen, you gotta show more than you tell in your writing.”

It’s a tip I wish he’d share with content marketers, too.

A lot of the content marketing you read these days consists of companies telling and telling and telling… all about themselves, all in exactly the same way.

And, a lot of the posts you read about content marketing are the same way.
I aim to change that, right here and now.

How to be a content diva by @JenKaneCo

HiRes

A diva knows that it’s not enough just to sing a song. You need to sell a song — transform it, work it, glue it to the back of your open-mouthed audience’s brain.

Creating good content to market or sell your business is no different.

It’s noisy out there – both online and off. You can’t just push out nice, safe information and education and hope someone notices you.

You need to take your brand over the top and be amazing, irrepressible and powerful.

You need to be a content diva.

Now, to paraphrase the immortal words of Sweet Brown, you may be thinking, “Be a Content Diva? Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
