Want to know something? You don’t know what you don’t know. That fact holds true for people. I was thinking about it this morning. It’s easy to judge. It’s easy to assume. I TRY my best not to because I know how it feels.
Want to know a secret? Ready? I’m shy. Yep. Shy. Want to know something else? I struggle with a boatload of insecurities. I was interviewed by Anne McKevitt a few months ago and she asked me about my tweets. I told Anne that many of them should start with “Note to Self” because that’s what many are!
We are all different. We have different likes and dislikes. We have different insecurities and strengths. Not everyone thinks as you do. I read articles every day from someone’s point of view expressing themselves and telling me that the way they think is the way I should think. Food choices, career choices, the length of your hair, the car you drive, your age, religion, race, and political views – someone has an opinion and all I can say is BE KIND.
I see the world through “Melissa vision” but I try hard to remember that you see the world through your own lens. I don’t fully know your story. I can’t fully know how someone thinks and feels and what brought them to this moment in time.
