NFL All Clear Safety

by Melissa Stewart

Sorry, Ladies, this season if you attend an NFL game you will not be allowed to carry your favorite bag. The NFL has instituted new policies for pre-season, regular season and post season games in order to expedite security checks.  You are now restricted to carrying an NFL licensed or non-branded CLEAR bag that is not bigger than 12’”x 12” x 6” or you may carry a 1 gallon freezer bag with your belongings plus a clutch that is no bigger than your hand.

Here are the details from www.nfl.com/allclear

NFL Bag Rule

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags will be available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com/allclear), or

Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

If you would like to purchase an official NFL team logo clear plastic tote but you don’t want to wait for it to be shipped from nflshop.com, then check with your local team’s Pro Shop for inventory and operating hours.  Local Pro Shops are accessible from outside the stadium and typically open during the week or before the game.

Guess they are not familiar with the mom bag and even more the scout bag or what ever group that requires paperwork when taking the group on an outing. Also sounds like a way to keep full families out, babies, toddlers. To put it bluntly, who wants their tampons and pads to show through a plastic bag because a clutch doesn’t cut it especially during peri-menopause.
