Describe your business in 3 sentences.

Hi, my name is Carmia Cronjé and I own a graphic design studio called Clementine Creative that specializes in designing brand identities for female entrepreneurs. I also run an online shop selling printable paper goods. This makes me some nice passive income while my client work provides me with the bulk of my income.

What inspired you to start your business?

I studied Graphic/Web Design in college and always thought I would get a job like everyone else after graduating. However, I couldn’t picture myself working in an office from 9 – 5 for someone else. So I decided to start a business doing what I love most.

How many hours a week do you spend working your business? How much sleep do you get a night?

I work about 35 – 40 hours a week. I always make sure I get 8 hours of sleep a night. I just love sleeping! I believe that our bodies weren’t designed to work 7 days a week. We definitely need to take breaks and rest!

What does a “normal” day look like (if there is such a thing)?

Every day is different but it usually goes like this: I have breakfast, get dressed and at 9 AM I’m in front of my computer checking and responding to emails. I then work on designs for clients, renew my Etsy listings, work up proposals, send invoices and check social media. I take regular breaks in between and also a lunch break. Then it’s back to work until 5 PM or so and then I’m done for the day.

What business tools have helped you the most?

I recently purchased PancakeApp. It’s an online invoicing app that also allows you to send estimates, proposals, manage your projects and more. I love it! Another tool that I love is Evernote. I use it to remember client info, personal info, and email templates.

Where can we find you?

I ENJOYED READING HER BIO. This is something I would like to do because I am a designer. i have not been formally trained but I have been working on stuff all my life. I think it is time for me to launch my business but I need a mentor. I believe this network is just what I require to stay inspired and succeed.
