First impressions matter.
How your website looks and what content is published there affects how well you can convert readers into customers.
This is especially important if your business is a web-based business where your website is the main place where you can connect with your ideal customers and get them to know, like and trust you.
Here are 4 quick tips for you to turn your website from boring to customer attractive.
1. Value quality of content over quantity of content.
Many bloggers stress out over how often they should post onto their blog. They fuss over getting that one blogpost out every few days.
However, it is more important to only have the best quality content on your website, as your potential customer would be reading and deciding if you’re a good fit for them.
Right now, go and look at your post archives and delete or edit anything that is of sub-par quality. Good content establishes you as an expert.
2. Change up your about me page copy.
Your about me page is one of the most visited webpages of your website.
There is a high chance that almost anyone prospective buyer would have looked at your about me page before buying from you. It is hence important to learn how to write a good about me page. Your about me page has to include these important things:
– Who you are serving
– How you can help your reader
– A little more about you so that they can connect to you as a person
– Get them to subscribe to your email list so that you can follow up
3. Remove any low quality images.
This may seem very obvious, but do not have any images on your website that are of low quality. If you have low quality images on your website, people will start perceiving your brand as low quality, no matter how amazing you are.
Look through your website, and remove any blurry images. Go to www.imstocks.im to find beautiful stock images to use if you are using low quality stock images.
4. Consistent colour scheme
Cohesive brands have a consistent colour scheme across their whole website. This gives your website a more professional look (which is what you want, right?).
For instance, Melissa’s brand colours are pink and green, and you can see how she cohesively weaves her these colours throughout her website.
Make sure that the colours you have on your website is consistent across all your webpages.
Take action now
– Remove/ edit any low quality content on your website
– Rewrite your about me page if it isn’t up to standard
– Replace low quality images on your website with professional looking ones
– Ensure that your website colours are consistent and in alignment with your brand
