One of the biggest questions that is always asked and never gets old is how to increase website traffic. Whether you are a business owner or a Blogger, you want to make sure that your business or your blog is being seen and visibility comes from understanding how to drive traffic.

You are always going to be chasing down those new and untapped traffic sources and trying out new strategies, and the best way to do this is to make sure that you have all of the content available on your website show up early in the search engine results pages. Whether you do this via pay-per-click campaigns, increasing your presence on social media, or looking for the best solo ads service that fits your budget, there are plenty of ways that you can ensure that you’re driving traffic to your website. So with that in mind let’s take a look at how you can do it.

  • Start with a content marketing strategy. This is the process of creating and publishing different types of content that allow you to cast a wider net for your audience. Every marketing tactic that is content-driven, such as written content or videos or audio content, and isn’t about outbound marketing can be characterized as content. You can start with creating an editorial calendar that plans your publishing activities across different channels for the year and then you can start with working on content writing guidelines whether you get internal people to do this for you or you outsource is up to you but you do need to have a specific tone of voice that you have mapped out.
  • Start taking notice of where your traffic comes from. If you look at your background data, where is all of your traffic and your clicks coming from? This information can be found on your analytics pages and you’ll be able to determine where your advertising is having the best strength. For example, if you’ve been advertising on social media platforms like Twitter, but you are not getting very many clicks from Twitter, then it may not be worth it for you in the long term.
  • Create educational content. A good way to drive traffic to your website is to be an authority on the topic that you talk about. Creating blogs and other educational content and tutorials can help you with that. As much as possible, you want to show that you know exactly what you’re talking about, and that means making sure that you are publishing information that your consumers will want to see and expand on.
  • Ask your customers what they want to see. By sending out customer surveys, you can learn what people want to see from your business. Once you do this, you’ll be able to understand what it is they hope to gain when they are on your website. From there, you can then build your campaigns around what your customers want and finally be able to get your traffic numbers up.
