As entrepreneurs, we have a lot on our plate – regardless if we’re one-woman shows, or have a team behind us! Personally, I’m a one-woman show, and I have a lot going on between clients, blogs, videos and a podcast. While I’m not always perfect at balancing everything, I have great systems in place to help me streamline everything. In today’s post, I’m sharing five things that will make your life easier!
Use MeetEdgar to schedule social media
MeetEdgar is probably my favorite business tool of all. Unlike other social media schedulers, Edgar allows you have a constant library of posts that are cycled through on your profiles. This is especially great for those who have a lot of content – like me, who has 600 posts in her Edgar library. There are similar services out there for a cheaper price, but I love Edgar the most.
Use Rev.com for video transcription
With video becoming more popular, you want to make sure you’re optimizing your videos! One of the ways you can do that is to have your video transcribed. This allow for captions to be shown on screen, and you can use the text in your video description as well. Rev.com is my favorite place to have this done.
Have a designer make your blog and social media graphics
There is a lot of work and time that goes into blogging and social media – brainstorming, writing, scheduling. Social media is an extension of your brand, and unfortunately, one that is often ignored. You can easily uplevel the look of your brand with stellar graphics designed by a professional. (Bonus: that designer could also handle website updates!)
Create keyboard shortcuts for IG hashtags
You’ve probably heard that Instagram hashtags are great for expanding your reach. You can use up to 30 hashtags per Instagram tag. I don’t know about you, but I don’t have the mental energy to remember all 30 hashtags every day! Thankfully, you can easily create keyboard shortcuts on your iPhone to easily paste in your 30 hashtags.
Install an email plugin
If you use Gmail, there are several awesome plugins you can use to maximize productivity. I use MixMax – which allows you to track emails, use templates, and schedule emails to send later. Boommerang and Streak are also great plugins that do similar (and more!) things. Each of these have free plans, too.
Of course, I have larger systems and processes in place for client work, blogging, admin tasks, etc. These things may seem small, but they all add up over time. What are some of your favorite tools or time hacks?

This is great! I also use rev.com to dictate my weekly FB Live content. I’ll (for example) walk on the treadmill, “download” or talk to my memos app on my iPhone, then get it transcribed on rev.com. I try to do 2-3 topics at a time to save time, too!
