Stand Out From Competition with a National Tour

by Vernetta R. Freeney

It’s a new year. Everyone begins with such high expectations. But by the end of January the sizzle begins to fizzle.

Why?

We usually haven’t thought past the idea. We know what we want but fail to think it through with a solid plan of action.

In business what you offer whether a service or product is what your ideal clients want. But how can you reach outside of your city not using only social media?

Create a national tour?

SOI Post 1

Before you panic about the task of creating a tour, the expenses and all the little details associated, think how face to face connection still has major appeal. A national tour creates lasting impressions that traditional marketing can’t match.

Social Media is becoming a congested hot bed of people pushing their agendas.

If you have a business page on Facebook, you’ve realized you have to pay to post. Or your status won’t be seen. So people are moving to using their personal page instead. On Twitter with it moving so fast you see some people post consistently on a daily basis about their business. And Pinterest is quickly filling up with pins and boards. If you don’t post at the right time your pin could get lost in the shuffle. How is anyone supposed to get noticed using social media? There are still ways but most people don’t see everything shared. This is why face to face will put you ahead of your competition.

People get to meet the person behind the brand.

People buy from those they know, like and trust. Or least that’s how the saying goes. In reality, most people buy from another person they can relate to. Once people feel a connection they are more inclined to continue purchasing from you and referring others. That’s what you strive for in business. Referrals. They keep the money coming in without you having to constantly do the leg work to keep your business in front of your customers.

It positions you as an expert in your industry.

You don’t have to know everything about your industry to create a tour. In fact, the moment you create one others will see you as an authority figure. You dared do something that wasn’t the norm. It sets you apart from others who follow the yellow brick road in the land of staying inside the box. People will listen to what you have to say simply because you ventured into an interestingly, new territory in marketing your business.

The moment I put Fusion Tour out there the doors, opportunities and people opened up to my unique business.

Think of the one aspect of your business that your customers can’t get enough of. That’s the idea you develop into a national tour.

As we go along in this series you will learn more strategies and tips to help you create your own national tour.

Remember, “Devote yourself to an idea. Go make it happen.”

You ROCK! And you are so right. My business is children, so most people under play the value of what I’m doing, but I’m cool with that because my lane is clear. The book reading parties are the pivotal next step. And the connections made recently with a heart to do what I do will reap the benefits because of seeing the value. Keep watching. ..
