Your hand is reaching up a little higher, until your foot finds the rock beneath, as you step on it to lift you up higher. You have reached a plateau. You take a moment to breathe and look around. You realize that your goal is just within your sight. Will you rappelle back because of exhaustion or will you find extra energy within, because you are almost there…
Okay. I’m actually talking about a rock wall I recently climbed. My goal on that rock wall was to get to the BELL and RING it!!! But the symbolism surely applies as a life lesson for yourself, your family or your business.
It’s “Ring in the NEW YEAR” time and time to set goals, make lists, ya da ya da…
Yes, I too… am a list maker. I write them down on pen and paper, post it, the family calendar, on my phone, on my computer….
Goals.
Resolutions.
Plans.
Ideas.
Many times, however, I find that even with the best of intentions to improve the “New Year Pam” it’s simply a lot of talk and not enough ACTION.
So with this New Year, I vow to sp”RING” into ACTION.
I will move it. I will stop talking, writing and dream of what could be… but what actually CAN be…what WILL be.
Each move is a STEP toward the finish line. Each step is a victory.
If I just MOVE to that ultimate goal and RING that bell of completion.
So I challenge you…in your personal lives, your family lives and your business to buy an actual bell. When you reach a goal, RING it! Loudly!
And Keep sp”RING”ing into ACTION!!
I recently came across a bell that my Grandma had, one that my daughter loves ringing. Naturally I just rang it, and a whole flood of ideas came to me when I thought about different “Bells” in my life… so I wrote a little more in-depth about those bells here -> Do you hear the Bells?
